What the video shows: “Your group chat is losing your photos.” A finished board, Tahoe weekend · September 2026, with 44 posts from 6 members. “Step 1 · Make a board for the trip.” Create, then the Trip template, and the title Tahoe weekend is typed in. “Step 2 · Invite everyone who was there.” The board is created, and the “Who was there?” sheet offers one link to share and a QR code to scan. “They join as Contributors.” Four friends are each invited as a Contributor. “Step 3 · Everyone adds their photos.” Their photos land in batches: 5 posts, then 17, then 44. “One board. Every angle.” Reading down the finished board’s photos. End card: the Passboards dragonfly and wordmark. “Free on the App Store.” The video is silent.

What lives in Passboards

More than an album.

It started as the place for the weekend’s photos. Now it’s where your group keeps the rest of it too: the words, the songs, the plans and the chat.

Clubs

For the people you keep making plans with.

A ski club, a Sunday run, the friends who take a trip every winter. Every time the group gets together, start a new board. The club keeps them in one place, with the group chat, announcements and the next event right beside them.

Every club has its own mark and an address like passboards.com/c/tahoe-ski-club. Share a post with your clubs and it lands in their Tagged section. Nobody outside the club sees the tag.

Privacy and safety

Your people, not an audience.

What you share is for the people you share it with. The rules are written down plainly, and they describe what the app actually does.

  • Private when you want it

Every board is public or private, with roles for who can post. Clubs can be invite-only, and profiles can be private.

  • No location on your photos

Location and camera details are stripped from the files before they upload. Nobody sees where a photo was taken unless you add a place.

  • Block and report

Block or report a person, post, comment or club, right where you see it.

  • No ads today. No trackers.

No advertising identifiers, and we don’t sell your information. Our public web pages set no cookies and run no analytics. The app’s usage analytics go only to our own servers.

Turn them off in Settings › Privacy.

New in Passboards 2.0.8

Bring in everyone who was there.

  • Who was there?

Right after you make a board, share its link, show a QR code or text people one at a time. You can also skip it for now.

  • Contributors can share the link

Contributors can share a board’s invite link too. People who join through it can add their photos, and the board’s owner can turn any link off.

  • See who liked and reacted

Tap a comment’s like count to see who liked it, and touch and hold a reaction in any chat to see who reacted.

  • Follow from the member list

Board and club member lists show whether you follow each person, and you can follow them right there. You can also cancel a follow request you sent.

Also new, from Passboards 2.0.7

  • Invite with a link or QR code

Share a board by link or a printable QR code, set an expiry, and turn it off anytime.

  • A Contributor role

On private boards, people can add photos without managing the board.

  • Start from a template

A trip, a concert, a ski weekend, your friends: a name, dates and an invite message ready to go.

  • Uploads in the background

Start an upload and get on with your day: your photos and videos keep uploading even when you switch apps or lock your phone, with progress on your Lock Screen. Share to a board straight from Photos, too.

  • Recaps

Turn a board into a short video of its best moments, then save it, share it or post it to the board.

  • Free export

Save a whole board to Photos, or export it with every caption, date and name. Free for everyone.

  • Notification settings

Choose what you hear about, set quiet hours, and mute a single board.

  • Board or club widget

Follow one board or club on your Home Screen or Lock Screen.

Make the board before you go.

Add the group now. Come home to everyone’s photos, and keep the club going after.
