Passboards 2.0.7

Passboards 2.0.7 makes it effortless to bring your people in and get everyone's photos into one place — and to keep them.

What changed

  • Invite with a link: share a board by link or printable QR code, choose whether people join as Contributors or viewers, set an expiry or a limit, and turn a link off anytime.
  • Invite links you tap before you have an account open right after you sign up — and a profile photo is now optional when you join.
  • Start a board for what you're gathering for — a trip, a wedding, a ski club or a season — with a name, dates and an invite message ready to go.
  • Private boards get a new Contributor role: people who can add photos without managing the board. And anyone can now leave a board.
  • Background uploads: your photos and videos keep uploading when you switch apps or lock your phone, with progress on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — and Passboards checks with you before you sign out mid-upload.
  • Share to a board straight from Photos — up to 15 photos and videos at a time, with a caption.
  • Recaps: turn a board into a short video with its best moments and an original soundtrack, then save it, share it or post it to the board. Prefer to stay out of other people's recaps? There's a setting for that.
  • Save a whole board to Photos, or export it with every caption, date and name — free for everyone.
  • A new Board or club widget for your Home and Lock Screen that follows one board or club, or everything recent.
  • Notification settings: choose what you hear about, set quiet hours, and mute a single board.
  • Give a board its dates and everyone gets a gentle heads-up when it starts, a last call for photos after it ends, and a note when the album is complete — never during quiet hours, and only a few a week.
  • A simple checklist on Home helps you get your first board up and running.
  • Welcome back: if your account dates from 2022 or 2023, your boards are waiting for you.
  • A new Privacy setting lets you choose whether to share usage analytics that help us improve Passboards.
  • Fixes throughout, including a board's location tag now saving when you create it.

Passboards 2.0.6

Passboards 2.0.6 lets you share more of yourself — your music, your words — and gives every club an identity of its own.

What changed

  • Share the soundtrack: post a song, album or playlist from Spotify or Apple Music, with a 30-second preview right in the feed and one tap to open it in your app.
  • Choose Spotify or Apple Music under Settings → Music, and Share to Passboards straight from either app's share sheet.
  • Write: post a quick note or a long-form essay, with headings, quotes, lists and links, drafts that save as you go, and a beautiful full-screen reader.
  • Every club now has its own mark — an emoji or its initials on its own colour — so similar clubs never blur together in your feed or the Clubs tab.
  • Clubs get a memorable address like passboards.com/c/sunday-supper, and a line showing which friends you share each club with.
  • Share a post with your clubs: members see it in their feed and in the club's new Tagged section, while the rest of your board stays private.
  • Opening a club invite now shows the club — its cover, mark and who's in it — before you join.
  • Report someone right from their profile, alongside Block.
  • Smoother keyboards in search, comments and messages, plus fixes throughout.

Passboards 2.0.5

Passboards 2.0.5 is a new look for the whole app — calmer, cleaner, and built around the photos and videos you share.

What changed

  • A redesigned Home: posts without boxes, photo sets laid out as a single elegant spread, and activity on one board gathered into chapters.
  • Tap any photo or video to open it full screen, swipe through the whole collection, and swipe down to return exactly where you were.
  • Videos play full screen with their own scrubber, time, and sound controls.
  • Boards show every photo in its own shape, and each board takes on the colors of its cover.
  • Home gently takes on the colors of the photo you're looking at.
  • Likes and comments read as quiet lines, with names and boards you can tap.
  • A matching new look across Explore, profiles, clubs, messages, notifications, comments, creating boards and posts, settings, and sign-in.
  • Collections of posts from the same moment can now hold up to 20 posts.
  • Sharper photos in the Highlights widget, with a refreshed design.
  • An updated in-app tutorial for the new design.

  • Explore more at a glance with a new three-column grid and fresher, more varied recommendations.
  • Follow individual public boards without following the account, then manage them alongside your other boards.
  • Choose a favorite photo as a board cover, or return to the automatic collage at any time.
  • Like every post in a Home collection at once with Like All.
  • The Highlights widget prioritizes recent memories, while new controls let you hide content from selected accounts.
  • Search boards on any profile with a faster, more dependable search experience.
