Public and private spaces

Every board, club and profile is public or private. Private boards are seen only by their members, private clubs only by their members, and a private profile only by the followers you approve.

Invitations and roles

Board and club invitations decide who belongs. On a private board you choose who can only view and comment and who can also post and invite, and a club’s hosts control its invite links.

Block and report

Block anyone from their profile or a conversation. Flag a post, comment or board from its ⋯ menu, and report a conversation, a club or its chat, or a person from their profile. We review what’s flagged and reported.

Location stays off your photos

Location and device details are removed from photo and video files before they upload. Nobody sees where a photo was taken unless you add a place.

Messages on your terms

Only people you follow who follow you back can start a conversation with you, and you can turn read receipts off in Settings › Messages.

Music, writing and club addresses

Music posts, text posts and club addresses come with these protections built in.

Flag any kind of post

Music posts, notes and essays can be flagged from their ⋯ menu, just like photos and videos. Blocking works both ways: neither of you sees the other's posts, of any kind.

Links you can check first

A link inside a note or essay shows you where it goes and asks before it opens. Text posts can’t contain images or embedded code.

Names that stay civil

Club names, club addresses and essay titles are checked for offensive words before they are saved.

Private clubs stay private

A private club’s address shows only an invite-only card to anyone who isn’t a member. It never confirms the club exists.

Club tags stay in the club

When someone shares a post with a club, only that club’s members see the tag, and hosts can remove a post from their club.
